Sini-Yelen Educational Program

Overview

"Sini-Yelen Education Program," marking a significant progression in their ongoing commitment to educational equity. Building upon the achievements of the "Initiative for the Support of Education for Disadvantaged Children (ISEED)," Sini-Yelen represents a vital step forward in supporting vulnerable children's educational needs.

Building on the ISEED Foundation:

ISEED established a strong foundation by raising awareness and providing immediate support. Sini-Yelen expands upon this mission by prioritizing long-term solutions. While both initiatives share the core objective of alleviating educational disparities and achieving Sustainable Development Goal 4 (quality education), Sini-Yelen will offer a more comprehensive approach.

Our Commitment to Vulnerable Children

Sini-Yelen focuses its efforts on three distinct populations:

  • Children in street situations: These children may be homeless, abandoned, or orphaned, and lack access to basic necessities like education.

  • Children from disadvantaged backgrounds: This broader category encompasses children from low-income families, those experiencing social marginalization, or residing in geographically isolated areas. Additionally, it includes children with sick or inactive parents who may struggle to provide educational support.

  • Internally displaced persons (IDPs): Children forced to flee their homes due to conflict or natural disasters often experience significant disruptions in their education.

A Two-Pronged Approach

Sini-Yelen combats educational inequality through a comprehensive two-pronged strategy:

  • Immediate Support: To ensure students have the necessary resources to thrive, Sini-Yelen will continue to provide essential school supplies annually to 150 students.

  • Long-Term Care: Looking beyond immediate needs, Sini-Yelen offers a holistic support system specifically designed for orphans, non-orphans, and all children facing challenging circumstances, particularly those in street situations. This comprehensive approach may encompass:

    • Educational Assistance: Scholarships, tutoring programs, and mentorship opportunities to empower students to excel academically.

    • Social and Emotional Support: Sini-Yelen fosters a safe space by providing access to counseling services and promoting positive mental well-being.

    • Life Skills Training: The program equips students with essential life skills such as financial literacy, communication, leadership, and conflict resolution to effectively navigate life's challenges.
